Small Items All With A Story

  1. This (and the previous one) I find extremely stimulating. Partly the variety and partly the fact that you are breaking out of the usual rut. (Rut is not the right word, b ut it's the best I can think of right now.) More like this, please?

  2. Kass-erole, I'm slow getting into 2010, but I'm hitting my now. I've kept printer's trays for years with little odds and ends in them - "venerable things" to me. Thank you for your eclectic sensibilities and beautiful forms of expression.

  3. What a wonderful way to use a printer's tray. Each item tells a completely different story but they are probably united in some way.

  5. I am extremely impressed with your blog/s, if what I've seen so far, is what I am going to discover as I scroll back, I shall have a treat in store.
My talent is entirely for words and stories, I have none for art; I envy artistic people and can only gaze in admiration.

Thanks for coming over to my blog which helped me discover yours.

  6. Dave, I'm not sure what you mean. I just do what I do and post it.

Limes - I'm glad you like my eclectic sensibilities. I've seen pictures of the inside of your house on your blog and I know you have many meaningful things all around you.

Christella - I've never thought about how united these items are. I suppose there is a unity in the places I collected them and what they represent. I'll have to think about that. Thanks.

Total - Yes, there is a little wooden dog - just like the Dachshund I used to have.

Friko - thanks for stopping by. You have immense talent. I wish I could be more focused like you.

  8. I used to collect little things like this! Now I have passed them all on to my daughters. OR--most of them.

And THEY have them on display like this.

Would be a good writing start. I need to write today but have been having a difficult day.

  9. MAGGIE - "Keeping magic in each place" - that's just great!

MARY - What a great idea. I never thought of this as a jumping-off place for writing, even though I titled it that way. Hmmm, I'm going to have to think about that.

  10. I love the old print boxes. I think there's picture of it somewhere on my blog. My folks had all these antiques that I couldn't carry back to Alaska so I took all the small stuff they collected over the years.
